Reason, A Season, A Lifetime Educational
information comes into your life for a reason, a season, and hopefully, a lifetime.
Our education will help you understand the difference taking care of yourself
can make and will encourage a longing to apply the information given. Educational
information - the answers to those important questions you have been thinking
about or about problems you would like to avoid - was put there for a reason.
The reason is to help you with your skin care needs. We provide education to you
to assist you in coping with your aging concerns, offering you guidance and support.
With knowledge, you will improve your health, appearance, and ultimately improve
your self-esteem. We are here for a reason - you need us! Each
day we age and with each seasonal change, our skin is affected. We share our educational
information so you can grow in knowledge. Life is hectic and we often sacrifice
our own personal needs. We often avoid opportunities to relax, buying into the
stresses that are forced upon us by our own frantic lifestyles. You must learn
how to rejuvenate yourself, renewing your spirit and allowing attention to focus
on yourself. You deserve it and must come to realize that your own personal needs
must be met if you are to continue to provide for others. The desire to make you
feel good about yourself must be fulfilled. Our
hope is to create a lifelong relationship between education and self-care, providing
a solid basis that will support you through the aging process. Our professional
guidance and education will allow you to be successful in learning to love yourself,
both inside and out. A
Professional Skin Analysis Analysis: an examination of a complex
issue, its elements, and their relations. Skin
analysis is important, not only to determine your skin type, but also to discover
the unique and complex set of physical relationships and genetics that affect
and create your skin type. Dry skin: can be
caused by any combination of sun, wind, diet, lack of fluid. May be oil-dry or
moisture dry, or both. Oily skin: overproduction
of oil and sebum, caused by any combination of hormonal imbalance, fat-rich diet,
and/or climate. Skin feels thick and is prone to breakouts and enlarged pores. Sensitive
skin: is often thin in appearance, blushes easily, and blanches (turns white)
easily when touched. Can have a history of allergies and reactions to topicals,
drugs, and food. Combination skin: any combination
of skin types. Acne: breakouts which affect
the face, neck, shoulders, and back - not limited to adolescents. Discoloration:
hyperpigmentation (brown spots) yellow tinge, or redness; caused by sun, medication,
illness, or normal aging process. Rosacea:
overproduction of oil with excessive redness, especially around nose and cheeks.
If neglected, may cause lumpiness; referred to as acne rosacea. Mature:
any combination of premature aging symptoms, caused by neglect, sun, wind, pollution,
illness, stress, extreme weight loss, diet, medication, alcohol, or smoking. Aging:
loss of elasticity and normal texture. Signs of normal aging, but also of premature
aging, depending on contributing factors. Skin
analysis is complicated, and takes into account these factors and more. Consultation
helps us understand your skin, and create a plan by which to approach or prevent
each problem. Your subsequent commitment to consistency - in product and treatment
- makes it all happen. |
Stress - The Silent Enemy
You can see it happening: stress is creeping up on a special guy in your life.
Chances are, whether he's your father, your husband, or a good friend, he thinks
he can handle it himself. Free radicals, a by-product of stress - says otherwise. Free-radical
damage plays a leading role in aging and its visible symptoms. The hardest part
of overcoming any problem is recognizing it exists. So, gently help him recognize
the three areas of stress-related symptoms: mental, muscular, and mechanical. Quiet
times admiring the stars and the moon, reading, listening to music - these offer
mental relief. For muscular relief, make sure he is faithful with physical exercise
- a brisk run, a roller blade or workout. For mechanical relief, send him to us,
the professional, to meet his skin care needs. Someone needs to take care of him.
For all the special times he's given you, take the time to pay attention to his
needs, and vanquish his silent enemy. Free
Radical Facts: Fact One: Recent studies show that exercise
decreases free radical damage by 2%, compared with a 13% increase
in those who do nothing at all. Fact Two: Our purpose is to
help prevent or repair free radical damage.
