Moms sense of self. Defining
Skin Goals
Our goal is to design a customized skin care plan, targeted to address your concerns
and set goals for your skin type. We must first define your skin needs and then
coach you through a plan. Your plan includes suggested professional treatments
and the development of a skin care regimen to specifically help you achieve the
results you desire. To
define and set a skin goal, a comprehensive questionnaire is the first stept that
will help us: What
type of skin do you have? Dry? Oily? What are your problem areas?
Forehead? Chin? T-Zone? What problem category do you fit in? Acne?
Lines and wrinkles? Combination skin? Enlarged pores? Scarring?
How much water do you consume daily? What kind of facial lines
do you have, and where? Do you have dark undereye shadows? What
is your skin texture? Do you have blackheads? Do you have
broken capillaries that show through makeup? Where? Is your skin extremely
dry? Does your skin have dry patches? How frequently and where?
Are your pores enlarged? Where? How thick is your skin? What
results are you looking for? On a scale of 1 to 10, how do you rate
your feeling about your skin? Are you an active client? If
you are an active client, have we met all of your needs? Are you only
interested in skin maintenance? The
problems you define, as well as those we observe, will assist in identifying treatments,
procedures and products that will help achieve your goals. Though this is a team
effort, you are in charge of your goals - define them, address them, and ultimately,
achieve them. | Enzymes
Natural Benefits
Enzymes are involved in every aspect of life. The human body recognizes over 3,000
different types of enzymes, which are molecules that cause actions, reactions,
and speed metabolic processes. Enzymes break down food so the body can absorb
nutrients necessary to fuel the cells of our tissues and organs. Dead
skin cells are held together by lipids. Enzymes actually digest dead skin cells,
lipid and all. Because enzymes serve as catalysts, they can change the appearance
of skin, to include the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. They also capture
free radicals and prevent damage caused by pollution, bacteria and sun exposure. The
enzymes used in skin care are harvested from fruits, vegetables, marine life and
more. Each enzyme is one of a kind, with a unique beneficial biological activity.
From removing dead skin cells, to clearing acne, enzymes break down the bad and
build up the good processes of skin. Enzymes also enhance the penetration of other
skincare treatments. Enzymes
have so many beneficial uses in skin care, it is impossible to list them all.
If you have a skin-related concern, there is an enzyme to treat it, or to enhance
the treatment of it. Enzymes nourish, rejuvenate, replenish and energize, by stimulating
the skin's normal reactions. Enzymes provide the best of all benefits - Naturally! |
| Why
Purchase Skin Products?
Skin is a physical barrier to the environment. By its nature it keeps some things
in, and some things out. The repair of damage to skin by professional products
is related to its ability to work with the natural physical and chemical properties
of skin, working with these without compromising the skin's main job. The
outer layer of skin is the actual barrier. The inner layer (dermis) provides structural
support. The dermis reproduces cells regularly, but the process slows with age.
Cells migrate to the top layer; once they reach it, they are technically non-viable,
but keep their water-retaining proteins. During
the aging process, these outer cells clump, and their moisture retaining properties
are slowly compromised. The natural ability to retain moisture keeps skin pliable
and plump; as we lose this ability, efforts at retarding the loss of moisture
focus on replacing it by way of products that include active ingredients that
nourish all levels of cells. Hydrating
products increase the water content of the top layer of skin. Their ingredients
are similar to the natural components of skin. They strive to restore cells, and
by doing so, enhance the skin's resistance to aging conditions. These ingredients
range in results from improving skin's softness to increasing elasticity
and pliability. Professional
products are designed to mimic the skin's own processes, to work WITH the existing
structure of the skin, and enhance its ability to do its job, without compromising
its effectiveness. Why purchase professional products? For professional results. |
